This vulnerability is patched in 0.122.4.

Exposure of Resource to Wrong Sphere

runc is a CLI tool for spawning and running containers on Linux according to the OCI specification. In runc 1.1.11 and earlier, due to an internal file descriptor leak, an attacker could cause a newly-spawned container process (from runc exec) to have a working directory in the host filesystem namespace, allowing for a container escape by giving access to the host filesystem ("attack 2"). The same attack could be used …

Docker Authentication Bypass

An issue was discovered in Docker Moby before 17.06.0. The Docker engine validated a client TLS certificate using both the configured client CA root certificate and all system roots on non-Windows systems. This allowed a client with any domain validated certificate signed by a system-trusted root CA (as opposed to one signed by the configured CA root certificate) to authenticate.

Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

BuildKit is a toolkit for converting source code to build artifacts in an efficient, expressive and repeatable manner. Two malicious build steps running in parallel sharing the same cache mounts with subpaths could cause a race condition that can lead to files from the host system being accessible to the build container. The issue has been fixed in v0.12.5. Workarounds include, avoiding using BuildKit frontend from an untrusted source or …

Vyper's raw_call `value=` kwargs not disabled for static and delegate calls

Vyper compiler allows passing a value in builtin raw_call even if the call is a delegatecall or a staticcall. But in the context of delegatecall and staticcall the handling of value is not possible due to the semantics of the respective opcodes, and vyper will silently ignore the value= argument. A contract search was performed and no vulnerable contracts were found in production.

Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

TrueLayer.NET is the .Net client for TrueLayer. The vulnerability could potentially allow a malicious actor to gain control over the destination URL of the HttpClient used in the API classes. For applications using the SDK, requests to unexpected resources on local networks or to the internet could be made which could lead to information disclosure. The issue can be mitigated by having strict egress rules limiting the destinations to which …

Observable Timing Discrepancy

The vantage6 technology enables to manage and deploy privacy enhancing technologies like Federated Learning (FL) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC). It is possible to find out usernames from the response time of login requests. This could aid attackers in credential attacks. Version 4.2.0 patches this vulnerability.

Memory over-allocation in evm crate

Prior to the patch, when executing specific EVM opcodes related to memory operations that use evm_core::Memory::copy_large, the crate can over-allocate memory when it is not needed, making it possible for an attacker to perform denial-of-service attack.

Prior to the patch, when executing specific EVM opcodes related to memory operations that use evm_core::Memory::copy_large, the crate can over-allocate memory when it is not needed, making it possible for an attacker to perform denial-of-service attack.

Insecure Storage of Sensitive Information

The vantage6 technology enables to manage and deploy privacy enhancing technologies like Federated Learning (FL) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC). There are no checks on whether the input is encrypted if a task is created in an encrypted collaboration. Therefore, a user may accidentally create a task with sensitive input data that will then be stored unencrypted in a database. Users should ensure they set the encryption setting correctly. This vulnerability …

Improper Preservation of Permissions

In etcd before versions 3.3.23 and 3.4.10, certain directory paths are created (etcd data directory and the directory path when provided to automatically generate self-signed certificates for TLS connections with clients) with restricted access permissions (700) by using the os.MkdirAll. This function does not perform any permission checks when a given directory path exists already. A possible workaround is to ensure the directories have the desired permission (700).

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection')

Versions of the package network before 0.7.0 is vulnerable to Arbitrary Command Injection due to use of the child_process exec function without input sanitization. If (attacker-controlled) user input is given to the mac_address_for function of the package, it is possible for an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the operating system that this package is being run on.

Improper Neutralization of Script-Related HTML Tags in a Web Page (Basic XSS)

apollo-client-nextjs is the Apollo Client support for the Next.js App Router. The @apollo/experimental-apollo-client-nextjs NPM package is vulnerable to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would need to either inject malicious input (e.g. by redirecting a user to a specifically-crafted link) or arrange to have malicious input be returned by a GraphQL server (e.g. by persisting it in a database). To fix this issue, please update to …

Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling')

aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Security-sensitive parts of the Python HTTP parser retained minor differences in allowable character sets, that must trigger error handling to robustly match frame boundaries of proxies in order to protect against injection of additional requests. Additionally, validation could trigger exceptions that were not handled consistently with processing of other malformed input. Being more lenient than internet standards require could, …

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component ('Injection')

Nginx-UI is a web interface to manage Nginx configurations. It is vulnerable to an authenticated arbitrary command execution via CRLF attack when changing the value of test_config_cmd or start_cmd. This vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2024-22197 and CVE-2024-22198. This vulnerability has been patched in version 2.0.0.beta.12.

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')

Nginx-UI is a web interface to manage Nginx configurations. The Import Certificate feature allows arbitrary write into the system. The feature does not check if the provided user input is a certification/key and allows to write into arbitrary paths in the system. It's possible to leverage the vulnerability into a remote code execution overwriting the config file app.ini. Version 2.0.0.beta.12 fixed the issue.

Integer Overflow or Wraparound

UTF32Encoding.cpp in POCO has a Poco::UTF32Encoding integer overflow and resultant stack buffer overflow because Poco::UTF32Encoding::convert() and Poco::UTF32::queryConvert() may return a negative integer if a UTF-32 byte sequence evaluates to a value of 0x80000000 or higher. This is fixed in 1.11.8p2, 1.12.5p2, and 1.13.0.

The redirect_uri validation logic allows for bypassing explicitly allowed hosts that would otherwise be restricted

An issue was found in the redirect_uri validation logic that allows for a bypass of otherwise explicitly allowed hosts. The problem arises in the verifyRedirectUri method, which attempts to enforce rules on user-controllable input, but essentially causes a desynchronization in how Keycloak and browsers interpret URLs. Keycloak, for example, receives "www%2ekeycloak%2eorg%2fapp%2f:y@example.com" and thinks the authority to be keycloak.org when it is actually example.com. This happens because the validation logic is …

Selection of Less-Secure Algorithm During Negotiation ('Algorithm Downgrade')

Dex is an identity service that uses OpenID Connect to drive authentication for other apps. Dex 2.37.0 serves HTTPS with insecure TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1. cmd/dex/serve.go line 425 seemingly sets TLS 1.2 as minimum version, but the whole tlsConfig is ignored after TLS cert reloader was introduced in v2.37.0. Configured cipher suites are not respected either. This issue is fixed in Dex 2.38.0.

Out-of-bounds Write

In GNOME GdkPixbuf (aka gdk-pixbuf) through 2.42.10, the ANI (Windows animated cursor) decoder encounters heap memory corruption (in ani_load_chunk in io-ani.c) when parsing chunks in a crafted .ani file. A crafted file could allow an attacker to overwrite heap metadata, leading to a denial of service or code execution attack. This occurs in gdk_pixbuf_set_option() in gdk-pixbuf.c.

Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling

OpenFGA, an authorization/permission engine, is vulnerable to a denial of service attack in versions prior to 1.4.3. In some scenarios that depend on the model and tuples used, a call to ListObjects may not release memory properly. So when a sufficiently high number of those calls are executed, the OpenFGA server can create an out of memory error and terminate. Version 1.4.3 contains a patch for this issue.

Quarkus Improper Handling of Insufficient Permissions or Privileges and Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability

A flaw was found in the json payload. If annotation based security is used to secure a REST resource, the JSON body that the resource may consume is being processed (deserialized) prior to the security constraints being evaluated and applied. This does not happen with configuration based security.

Out-of-bounds Write

An out-of-memory flaw was found in libtiff that could be triggered by passing a crafted tiff file to the TIFFRasterScanlineSize64() API. This flaw allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via a crafted input with a size smaller than 379 KB.

Out-of-bounds Write

A segment fault (SEGV) flaw was found in libtiff that could be triggered by passing a crafted tiff file to the TIFFReadRGBATileExt() API. This flaw allows a remote attacker to cause a heap-buffer overflow, leading to a denial of service.

Unauthenticated Nonce Increment in snow

There was a logic bug where unauthenticated payloads could still cause a nonce increment in snow's internal state. For an attacker with the ability to inject packets into the channel Noise is talking over, this allows a denial-of-service type attack which could prevent communication as it causes the sending and receiving side to be expecting different nonce values than would arrive. Note that this only affects those who are using …

Apache Airflow: pickle deserialization vulnerability in XComs

Apache Airflow, versions before 2.8.1, have a vulnerability that allows a potential attacker to poison the XCom data by bypassing the protection of "enable_xcom_pickling=False" configuration setting resulting in poisoned data after XCom deserialization. This vulnerability is considered low since it requires a DAG author to exploit it. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.8.1 or later, which fixes this issue.

Any authenticated user may obtain private message details from other users on the same instance

Users can report private messages, even when they're neither sender nor recipient of the message. The API response to creating a private message report contains the private message itself, which means any user can just iterate over message ids to (loudly) obtain all private messages of an instance. A user with instance admin privileges can also abuse this if the private message is removed from the response, as they're able …

Use-after-free when setting the locale

Version 3.0.0 introduced an AtomicStr type, that is used to store the current locale. It stores the locale as a raw pointer to an Arc<String>. The locale can be read with AtomicStr::as_str(). AtomicStr::as_str() does not increment the usage counter of the Arc. If the locale is changed in one thread, another thread can have a stale – possibly already freed – reference to the stored string.

Unsound sending of non-Send types across threads in threadalone

Affected versions can run the Drop impl of a non-Send type on a different thread than it was created on. The flaw occurs when a stderr write performed by the threadalone crate fails, for example because stderr is redirected to a location on a filesystem that is full, or because stderr is a pipe that has been closed by the reader. Dropping a non-Send type on the wrong thread is …

Incorrect Authorization

changedetection.io is an open source tool designed to monitor websites for content changes. In affected versions the API endpoint /api/v1/watch/<uuid>/history can be accessed by any unauthorized user. As a result any unauthorized user can check one's watch history. However, because unauthorized party first needs to know a watch UUID, and the watch history endpoint itself returns only paths to the snapshot on the server, an impact on users' data privacy …

The SSH transport protocol with certain OpenSSH extensions, found in OpenSSH before 9.6 and other products, allows remote attackers to bypass integrity checks such that some packets are omitted (from the extension negotiation message), and a client and server may consequently end up with a connection for which some security features have been downgraded or disabled, aka a Terrapin attack. This occurs because the SSH Binary Packet Protocol (BPP), implemented …

Maloja error page XSS vulnerability

Impact The error page for a missing path echoes the path back to the user. If this contains HTML, an attacker could execute a script on the user's machine inside the Maloja context and perform authorized actions like scrobbling or deleting scrobbles. This does not affect the security of your server. The exploit is purely client-side. Since there is very little incentive to mess with your scrobble data and it …

Grackle has StackOverflowError in GraphQL query processing

Impact Prior to this fix, the GraphQL query parsing was vulnerable to StackOverflowErrors. The possibility of small queries resulting in stack overflow is a potential denial of service vulnerability. This potentially affects all applications using Grackle which have untrusted users. [!CAUTION] No specific knowledge of an application's GraphQL schema would be required to construct a pathological query. Patches The stack overflow issues have been resolved in the v0.18.0 release of …

AsyncSSH vulnerable to Prefix Truncation Attack (a.k.a. Terrapin Attack) against ChaCha20-Poly1305 and Encrypt-then-MAC

Summary AsyncSSH v2.14.1 and earlier is vulnerable to a novel prefix truncation attack (a.k.a. Terrapin attack), which allows a man-in-the-middle attacker to strip an arbitrary number of messages right after the initial key exchange, breaking SSH extension negotiation (RFC8308) in the process and thus downgrading connection security. Mitigations To mitigate this protocol vulnerability, OpenSSH suggested a so-called "strict kex" which alters the SSH handshake to ensure a Man-in-the-Middle attacker cannot …

Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')

XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Starting in 2.3 and prior to versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, there is a reflected XSS or also direct remote code execution vulnerability in the code for displaying configurable admin sections. The code that can be passed through a URL parameter is only executed when the user who is visiting the crafted URL has edit right on at least one configuration section. While …

Improper Neutralization of Directives in Dynamically Evaluated Code ('Eval Injection')

XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Starting in 4.5-rc-1 and prior to versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, the search administration interface does not properly escape the id and label of search user interface extensions, allowing the injection of XWiki syntax containing script macros including Groovy macros that allow remote code execution, impacting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the whole XWiki instance. This attack can be executed by any …

Improper Neutralization of Directives in Dynamically Evaluated Code ('Eval Injection')

XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Starting in 2.3 and prior to versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, anyone who can edit an arbitrary wiki page in an XWiki installation can gain programming right through several cases of missing escaping in the code for displaying sections in the administration interface. This impacts the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the whole XWiki installation. Normally, all users are allowed to edit their …

Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor

XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Prior to versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, the Solr-based search in XWiki discloses the email addresses of users even when obfuscation of email addresses is enabled. To demonstrate the vulnerability, search for objcontent:email* using XWiki's regular search interface. This has been fixed in XWiki 14.10.15, 15.5.2 and 15.7RC1 by not indexing email address properties when obfuscation is enabled. There are no known workarounds …

Exposure of Private Personal Information to an Unauthorized Actor

XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Starting in 7.2-milestone-2 and prior to versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, the Solr-based search in XWiki discloses the password hashes of all users to anyone with view right on the respective user profiles. By default, all user profiles are public. This vulnerability also affects any configurations used by extensions that contain passwords like API keys that are viewable for the attacker. Normally, such …

Ref methods into_ref, into_mut, into_slice, and into_slice_mut are unsound when used with cell::Ref or cell::RefMut

This advisory is also published as RUSTSEC-2023-0074. The Ref methods into_ref, into_mut, into_slice, and into_slice_mut are unsound and may allow safe code to exhibit undefined behavior when used with Ref<B, T> where B is cell::Ref or cell::RefMut. Note that these methods remain sound when used with B types other than cell::Ref or cell::RefMut. See https://github.com/google/zerocopy/issues/716 for a more in-depth analysis. The current plan is to yank the affected versions soon. …

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')

In the Streampark platform, when users log in to the system and use certain features, some pages provide a name-based fuzzy search, such as job names, role names, etc. The sql syntax :select * from table where jobName like '%jobName%'. However, the jobName field may receive illegal parameters, leading to SQL injection. This could potentially result in information leakage. Mitigation: Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.2, which fixes …

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection')

In streampark, there is a project module that integrates Maven's compilation capability. However, there is no check on the compilation parameters of Maven. allowing attackers to insert commands for remote command execution, The prerequisite for a successful attack is that the user needs to log in to the streampark system and have system-level permissions. Generally, only users of that system have the authorization to log in, and users would not …
