When a SASL PLAIN bind supplies an authorization identity (authzid) that resolves to a different user, PlainSASLMechanismHandler verified only the PROXIED_AUTH privilege and never evaluated the "proxy" access-control right (the mayProxy ACI scope check). Description A Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CWE-502) issue in OpenDJ's JMX RMI connector allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to deserialize arbitrary Java objects on the server. The vulnerability exists because the platform reads and processes attacker-controlled bytes prior to authentication. This affects OpenDJ Community Edition through 5.1.0. This has been patched in version 5.1.1.

A denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability in OpenDJ has been discovered that causes the server to become unresponsive to all LDAP requests without crashing or restarting. This issue occurs when an alias loop exists in the LDAP database.
