CVE-2021-23343: Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity

The path-parse package is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via splitDeviceRe, splitTailRe, and splitPathRe regular expressions. ReDoS exhibits polynomial worst-case time complexity.
